About Us

We're glad you found the Pine-Strawberry Archaeological and Historical Society. We work to protect the history and culture of Pine, Strawberry, and the places around them. We are located in Pine, Arizona, under the beautiful Mogollon Rim. Our goal since the beginning of 1979 has been to gather, keep, and share the stories of our community, from the time of the first Native American groups to the time of the early settlers who changed the area.

Many items and displays in our museum show how strong and creative the people who lived before us were. Visitors of all ages can bring the past to life through interesting events, hands-on displays, and well-written books.

You will always find something new when you visit the Strawberry Schoolhouse, walk along the historical trails, or examine the fossils and pioneer artifacts in our exhibits. We want you to travel through time and connect with Pine-Strawberry's spirit.

Our website, which connects the past and present, explains Pine-Strawberry, Arizona's past and culture. It is meant to help you navigate our many tools and experiences. The Pine-Strawberry Museum can be viewed virtually, and the site also provides information about future events and ways to volunteer.

Key Features of the Site:

Museum Exhibits: Explore Pine-Strawberry's rich history through artifacts. Each exhibit conveys a story of perseverance and adaptation, from prehistoric artifacts and Native American pottery to pioneer-era household objects. Check out the unique Kachina dolls, old farming equipment, and early 20th-century relics.

Strawberry Schoolhouse: Visit Arizona's oldest schoolhouse and discover how pioneers valued education despite frontier hardships. This attractive, well-preserved building showcases the community's resilience.

Walking History Trail: Follow picturesque routes with signs tracing the area's settlement and growth on a self-guided tour. Each visit reveals fascinating facts about early settlers and the Mogollon Rim's natural splendor.

Event Calendar: Attend various events to connect with our active community. Historical lectures, guided tours, seasonal festivals, and family-friendly activities are available for everyone to enjoy while learning about our legacy.

Volunteer Opportunities: Join our passionate volunteers and make history. Whether you help with museum operations, tours, or special events, your contributions help preserve and celebrate Pine-Strawberry.

Our site shows how much we care about education, preservation, and community involvement. It will ensure that our area's stories live on for future generations.
